The Zorin OS Team are happy to announce that we are supporting the World Community Grid which uses the community’s computing power to help solve some of the world’s most pressing problems. We have released a new program which lets you contribute your computer’s unused resources to help scientists develop cures for cancer and HIV/AIDS, create new methods to filter clean water and many more projects.

This program will make sure that you will only donate your computer’s spare processing power without negatively affecting your PC’s performance. When you are on battery power, this program will suspend all computations in order to save battery life. After installing this program, your computer will automatically start contributing resources to the World Community Grid, greatly benefiting humanity.

This program is available for Zorin OS versions 6 and higher.
